Acceptable use
Make anything you have the right to make. These are the few things Jefield can't be used for, wherever the work lives.
Everywhere in Jefield
Most of what you make never reaches us: it lives on your device, and what you sync is sealed. These rules still apply to it, and to everything you share or publish. Don't use Jefield to:
- make, keep or share sexual content involving minors, or anything that sexualises a child;
- threaten, harass, stalk or dox anyone, or make content that encourages violence against people;
- make or share someone's intimate images without their consent, or deceptive images of a real person meant to mislead;
- infringe copyright, trademarks or other rights: only bring in and publish what you have the right to use;
- impersonate a person, a brand or an organisation, or make pages, receipts or documents meant to be taken for the real thing;
- spread malware, phishing pages, or anything built to deceive people into giving up passwords or money;
- break the law where you or the people you share with are.
Shared projects and the community shelf
What you publish is public, and a shared project reaches the people you send it to. On top of the rules above: no hateful content aimed at people for who they are, no graphic violence or sexual content on the shelf, no spam, and credit kept as Jefield records it. The code of conduct says how we treat each other there.
The service itself
- Don't attack, overload or probe Jefield, its servers or other people's libraries, or try to get around sign-in, limits or the seals on other people's work.
- Don't run automated sign-ups, or scrape the shelf at a rate that slows it for others.
- Security research is welcome on your own account, as the security page sets out.
What we do
We can't see what stays on your device, and we don't open sealed copies, so we act on what is public or reported to us: we may take down a template, a comment or a shared project's copy on our server, and suspend an account that breaks this policy or the law. Where the law requires it, we report child sexual abuse material to the authorities. If we take something of yours down, we tell you why, and you can write to us to ask us to look again.
Reporting
Report a template or comment from Jefield's Community, or anything else on the report page. Reports don't need an account.
