Changelog
Everything we shipped, by day, written from the project's own history.
November 3, 2026
- Jefield 1.3.0 for Windows, Mac and Android, the same version everywhere. The Mac app is signed and notarized by Apple, so it opens like any Mac app. Signed in, the desktop app opens your library again
- Two devices, one library: a project made in one browser shows up in the other while you work, and a tab nobody touches asks the server less often
- When a sign-in is turned down or has run out, Jefield says so on the main screen with Sign in, and your work stays on screen
- Today's Jefield icon everywhere: browser tabs, the website, the iPhone and Android apps
- The download page has two choices, desktop and phone, and picks the right file for your computer
- On a phone: every button is big enough for a finger, a board can be presented from Export, and the presenter's controls fit the screen
- Presenting says when you reach the last slide, and Community's Try again shows that it is trying
- Safer by default: new cloud libraries need a signed-in account, shared files can't carry hidden forms or styles, and the app loads only the exact code it ships with
- Prototype: connect frames like Figma - drag a frame's handle to another, choose On click, After delay or On key and a transition (Smart animate, Dissolve, Move, Push); Present follows the connections, and layers with the same name glide between frames
- Motion opens straight on the timeline with your design's layers; entrances like Rise are presets you put on a layer
- Photo and Layers are two tools: Photo for quick fixes, Layers for work in layers like Photoshop. A .psd opens straight in Layers, and Layers can open or place any of your Jefield files
- One picture through every tool: edit a picture from a board in Photo or Layers and every board that shows it updates; Back returns to the board, and Keep this version pins one copy
- A Photoshop file opens with a double click again, and a .psd dropped on a board lands as its layers
- A board frame opens in Layers as its layers and comes back beside the original
- A WOFF2 font you uploaded now goes into PDF exports
November 2, 2026
- Jefield for Mac 1.2.0 (Apple silicon and Intel): it opens on Apple silicon now; the first time, allow it in System Settings, Privacy & Security, Open Anyway
- Mockups are live smart objects: double-click one to move, scale or turn your design inside it, swap the picture, or bend it - Arc, Bend, Perspective or Mesh; Auto places any design so it fills the mockup on its own colour
- A brand guidelines PDF now teaches Jefield its type styles, colour roles and grid; the text panel starts with a Style menu and new text starts in Body
- A font browser with over 2,000 open fonts, searchable, Korean included, plus your own uploads and the fonts on your computer; typing while zoomed out no longer scrambles the words
- Motion: click, drag and type in a design on the stage, and zoom with Ctrl+wheel, pinch, + and -
- Tidier panels: frame sizes on one line with a preview as you rest on them, tabs that never cut, a colour picker beside the panel, and buttons instead of long explanations
- Auto animate: choose two or more frames and they play as one motion - layers with the same name move, resize, recolour and fade between them (Gentle, Quick or Bouncy); Present plays it between slides, and it exports as GIF, MP4 or Lottie
- A calmer, smoother Jefield: the chosen tab is a soft pill that slides, buttons give under your finger, menus and sheets settle in, and Files glides between Grid and List
- Type sized by a handle grows its letters and never flips or flies away; a finger grabs a corner from further off
- One Fill section with solid, linear and radial gradients (text too), one colour picker that stays smooth while you drag, and each corner of a rectangle or frame can have its own radius
- The Comments panel and the Pages and Layers panels are tidier and quieter, and the page you are on stays in view
- Deleted projects sit at the bottom of Projects, out of the way of your work
- Jefield for Windows 1.2.0: one click installs it with no questions, it signs in through your browser, its links and buttons work, and it only installs updates Jefield signed
- First-visit tips are back in Photo and on the board, and they always stay on the screen; Escape closes a menu even when the keyboard has wandered off it
- Signing in or out never asks you to erase anything: each person's library stays theirs on every device, and signing out of a shared computer leaves nothing of yours readable
- Safer sign-in: a sign-in link someone else sends you can no longer sign you into their account
November 1, 2026
- Files: a click chooses a file and a double click (or Enter) opens it; choose many with the check at a card's corner, by dragging a box over them, with Shift and the arrow keys, Ctrl+A, or on a phone by pressing and holding
- Clicking a photo under a shade chooses the photo: locked layers let clicks through, and template shades are locked
- Choosing files never moves them under your finger: the selection bar floats - at the bottom on touch screens, at the top with a mouse
- On a phone, the acts for what you chose sit just above the design sheet, and what you chose stays in view above them
- On a board, the acts you use most - crop, replace, larger or smaller text, align, group, duplicate, delete - sit right above what you choose
- Study sessions for testers: Settings > Study session notes where the pointer and fingers went (never what you type, your files' names, your screen or camera) and saves it as a file only when you say so
- Mockups: add your own PSD mockups (or a zip of them) in Assets > Mockups and put a frame in with one click - placed like a smart object, in perspective, under the file's own shadows and lights; Jefield's six mockups now fit in perspective too
- Download Jefield for Windows, Mac and Android from the Download page; every app keeps itself up to date, and the Windows app installs its own new versions when you close it
- Sizing by hand: a mockup, a group, a photo that fills its frame and a component's instance now grow as one picture from their corner, keeping their shape
- Dragging an end of a turned line moves that end where you drag it
- Panels you can move in the quick video editor, Sound, Document and PDF too: drag a tab, float it, close it and bring it back from Window, kept on this device
- Photo layers: Quick Mask (Q) paints the selection, Rotate View (R) turns the view, and the History Brush (Y) paints back from the step you mark in History
- Pages: two people changing pages at the same time both keep their change, and Move to page takes a layer out of its frame
- Video is one editor in two modes: a Simple | Timeline switch in the top bar changes the same tab and comes back to the same sequence; the start screen takes your footage, music and pictures straight onto a new sequence at the first video's size
- Trimming a clip follows your hand frame by frame in both video modes, with a tooltip, a snap line, slip, roll and ripple that carries captions; reverse, frame holds, wipes, named markers, SRT and VTT captions burnt in, masks and track mattes, ducking and normalise
- Panels you can move on the board: drag a tab to the left, right or bottom, float it, fold it, split a column, and find any closed panel in the Window menu
- Photo: Pen, Direct Selection and Shape tools that stay vectors, layer styles, the Filter menu with smart filters, multi-stop gradients, smart objects and templates with picture frames; Photoshop's keys for Levels, Curves, Hue/Saturation, Color Balance, Invert, fill with the foreground or background, Tab to hide the panels
- Motion: an Anchor Point tool, Overshoot, motion blur, your own presets, Sequence Layers, shape morphs and GIF colours in compositions; exits, stagger and preview speed in the design animator; Play tells you when nothing is animated yet
- Pages inside a project, as in Figma; tools shown moving in their tooltips and in Help; tabs that stay steady; Escape never leaves an editor; templates that start from your brand
- Website editor: a portfolio starter, an export that works at any address, extra cursors with Alt+click, and errors named by file and line
October 31, 2026
- Autosave everywhere: every editor keeps your work as you go, nothing asks "Leave without saving?", Save version marks a milestone that later autosaves never erase; tabs open beside the one you are in
- A ? in every editor: first-visit tips, a tool explained the first time you pick it, Learn on the Tools page; every bar fits a 390 px phone
- Open Figma, Sketch, XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, SVG, Premiere, Final Cut XML, EDL and Procreate files; EDL and FCPXML lay into a sequence with their media relinked
- Studio-made templates and presets: 23 photo templates with their own pictures, mockups, type, colour, gradient, effect, motion, title and transition presets, an Assets panel with your own files, video starters; Copy as Story, Square, Post, Landscape, Phone, Tablet or Desktop re-lays a frame in one step
- Video: Lumetri colour on every clip, a Source monitor that plays, Export opens on the whole sequence, a saved sequence reopens in a second, titles fit a vertical frame, Fit and Fill frame
- Motion: alpha WebM and PNG sequences render in the background in a Render Queue, 2 to 3 times faster; right-click menus on the timeline; After Effects text animators with a range selector; Precompose; masks edited on the canvas; Lottie keeps text as text
- Board: Union, Subtract, Intersect and Exclude keep curves; a group scales its children; paper frames measure in mm and pt; SVG and AI open as editable vectors; comments travel with a share; auto layout gains Fill container, Space between and per-side padding; drop a layer into a frame
- Beginners: find commands by plain words (animate, resize, remove background, download); Animate a frame straight into Motion; Remove background says its steps; phones get Share and Export sheets; the website export writes breakpoints from your Phone and Tablet frames; the code editor stays smooth beside big pictures
- Sign in with Google's own account chooser; a one-time notice says what the site stores
- Website: a media-first home with example loops and stills (marked Example, made with generative tools, never claimed as made in Jefield), a bento of the eight editors, an examples gallery
- Calm colours: Night is layered grey instead of black, Paper has no white glare, the accent no longer glows; every word still reads at 4.5:1 or better
- Zoom by hand is smooth everywhere: a pinch or Ctrl+wheel follows your fingers about the pointer on the board, in the photo, PSD and PDF editors and on every timeline; Ctrl+Space drag scrubs the zoom
- Comments as in Figma: pins that move with their layer and can be dragged, a hover card, a conversation with replies, edits, reactions and @names, resolve and reopen, links to a comment
- The board's tool bar grouped as in Figma - Move, Frame, Shape, Pen, Text, Eyedropper, Code, Comment, Actions - each remembering its last tool; Dev Mode (Shift+D)
- Big boards draw faster: frames are painted in place and blurs only where they are
October 30, 2026
- Video: sequences without a file, a project panel, V and A tracks, Premiere's tools and keys (razor, ripple, roll, slip, J/K/L), effect controls with keyframes, transitions, titles, basic colour, exports
- Motion: compositions with keyframes, Easy Ease and a Graph Editor, shapes, trim paths, text animators, masks, track mattes, precompose, ten effects; export MP4, WebM with alpha, PNG sequence, GIF, Lottie
- Photo: new layered documents, masks, eight adjustment layers, Photoshop's tools and keys, a Develop panel, history, layered PSD
- Code: a website workspace with its live preview at three widths; a board frame as clean HTML and CSS (Dev Mode)
- Board: polygon and star, eyedropper, outline stroke, offset path, radial gradients, typed transform, align to a key object
- Files: every file shows a picture made from itself - PDF, video, sound, PSD, Illustrator, Figma, fonts, documents, code, links
- Pictures and links dragged or pasted from any site land in Files or on the board; YouTube playlists, Pinterest boards and feeds import; Android's share sheet sends to Jefield
- Right-click, double-click, stray drops, Ctrl+S and Ctrl+P no longer bring up the browser's own menus and dialogs
- Print: number fields take mm, cm, in, pt and px; A5, A6, DL and 85 x 55 card sizes, named in millimetres (US paper in inches)
- Print: guides typed as a distance from the frame's edge; with the rulers on, paper frames show their 3 mm bleed and safe line
- Your own fonts: a Bold-only upload is Bold, and the weight menu offers the weights the file has
- Viewers can comment on a shared project; a view link can write nothing else
- Present keeps its keys; PDFs keep blur and your fonts; Fill frame covers the bleed; every frame as a PNG in one zip
- Video: Save keeps the edit (export writes the file); titles get a face and a weight; music fades in
- Frame names never run into each other at a far zoom; a brand used in a project leads its colour rows
- Security: the window in which a shared link could write into its owner's folder is closed
October 29, 2026
- Your library as files: download a backup and restore from one
- Shared projects: Delete for everyone
- Motion: Lottie export; Sparkle and Flare built in
- Export: JPG, and the top Export at the size a big frame already is
- Unsaved work: the browser's Back asks first too
- Testers' round 3: print at paper size, unsaved work held, taps on templates and twelve more
October 28, 2026
- Photoshop files open as their layers and save as .psd
- Illustrator, PDF and SVG drawings come onto the board as vectors, their words as text
- Video: a project's frame laid on a video stays linked to it; the edit exports as EDL, FCPXML and OTIO
- Board: PDF for print with 3 mm bleed, crop marks and trim boxes; side panels can be widened
- Fonts installed on your computer, in the menu and in the PDF (Chrome and Edge); missing fonts listed
- Erase a project for good: off this device, the cloud and every other device
- Quick tools: compress a PDF, PDF to images at 72 to 300 dpi; Motion: Glow and Shine
October 27, 2026
- Components as in Figma: instances, overrides, sizes that follow, in Assets
- Rulers and guides (Shift+R), masks (Ctrl+Alt+M), measuring with Alt, whole pixels
- A brand learned whole from its book: colours with roles, type styles, logo, rules, voice
- Your own fonts and a library of 31 open faces, drawn and exported as themselves
- Delete forever, and Deleted kept thirty days
- Every editor and the board at every size, phones included
October 26, 2026
- Comments on a project (C); every project and file opens in its own tab
- Arrows, Flatten, Go to main component; projects, files and folders have menus
October 24, 2026
- The new Jefield: syncs across your devices, local first, Night by default
- Editors for photo, video, sound, motion, documents, PDF and code, each saving the next version
- Two people on one project: share by link, live cursors and edits
- The community shelf: publish, browse, like, comment, use
October 23, 2026
- The empty Field room's first slot is a row on a phone, like the list's +
- The redesign: a language that is seen before it is read; the phone composed from the owner's Figma screenshots
- The offer as one act; the round trip as a place; the phone's + is the picker; the tab bar floats and is magnetic; a finger snaps; pull to catch up
October 22, 2026
- The phone from the hand outward: a finger pans the board (the engine dragged what it landed on - the 'magnets' and the 'flying'), the floating add, the sliding tab light, one small feedback pill with no Undo on arrivals, Settings as a finished product, tabs that do not stack
- An installed Jefield says 'Only on this device'; TRACKING: the deploy of df4cdc9 and what production showed
- The voice: ink on warm paper by day, the brand's fluorescent yellow by night; titles set at 36/52; the mono as the instrument voice - every room, the intro, the website, the desktop window (docs/DESIGN.md "The voice")
October 21, 2026
- The board's status line lets go: a remark fades in three seconds, a mode's instruction or work in progress stands; results the canvas shows are not announced
- English is the default across Jefield: the product, the website's door, /start, /privacy, the manifest (a choice of Korean is kept; the machine's language no longer decides)
- The phone as the owner holds it: the inset on the top edge, 16 px fields, no double-tap zoom, one bar in a project, a 49 px tab bar (phone gate 14/14 with the device's insets)
- Restore the owner's flow gate (2026-09-20, 20/20); the return-and-reuse walk is continuity-test.mjs (`npm run continuity`)
- Refinement, second pass: the return brings the inspected thing into view; real copy in every template; Account first
- Redeploy: the account secrets are in Vercel (the owner's hands)
October 18, 2026
- One account, one Jefield; the first refinement pass of the whole product
- The installed Windows app followed the website on its own: recorded (2ef69df installer → ed38617 served next launch, W1–W10)
- RELEASE: the MacBook block that builds the Mac app and opens Xcode for the phone in one sitting
- Site.mjs sweeps what this build did not write
- The apps follow the website: the desktop shell brings over each new build and serves it next launch; the iPhone shell opens the live product
October 17, 2026
- The phone gets the app: the Capacitor shell asks the website by address, signs in through the system browser and returns by jefield://, and wears the J
October 16, 2026
- The fixed shells follow the dynamic viewport; TURN reads the token under the key id's name
- Release: Windows 1.0.0 from a1d98b4 (122.1 MB, sha256 1b9e6ada…217b), the J icon; W1-W10 green on the owner's PC
- The J: the app icon, the wordmark, the opening and the acts it answers
- A phone that finds on its own screen and keeps its sheet small; a hand that names the frame; a folder that suggests
- Release: Windows 1.0.0 from 7ac468b (121.6 MB, sha256 0d32947f…eda4); W1-W10 green on the owner's PC
- The phone's top bar keeps its controls under the status bar line, and the board drops its second wordmark
- Motion a person can see, a folder that shows its folders, where a thing sits first in its panel
- Tabs, folders, a line that only finds, the phone's top, an ask box the desktop app can answer, Google sign-in's door
- Release: Windows 1.0.0 from b622535 (121.6 MB, sha256 268e85de…57a6); W1-W10 green on the owner's PC; platform status 03:10
- The system's doors open the product, not the website; a fade between rooms; phone bars that fit
- Second round: a Home that does not shout, paper cards and a grain on the board, one design in Settings, project words
- The whole-product pass, first round: frames that take things in, type that scales, the shelf as a tidy fall-back, fewer words
October 15, 2026
- The grace on the device, the colour that stays, a 2 s shelf pass beside a peer
- Release: Windows 1.0.0 from d2b164d (121.6 MB, sha256 2fd67751…f6cb); W1-W10 green on the owner's PC; platform status 22:20
- Docs: COLLAB §7 concurrent editing row - live text merge
- Live text: a three-way word merge at the editor's close, a soft lock while another person types
- Docs: identity - what a person is today (key, pen, origin, name), what sign-in adds, the provider structure and its exact dependencies
- The community: publish, browse, like, comment, use, take down - signed by the pen
- Together sheet: link rows stay on one line
- Collection purpose button 44 px on touch (looks 4)
- The pen: the key reads, the pen writes - roles enforced on the device and at the shelf
- Live layer: WebRTC data channels between the devices on one board, signalled through the shelf
- P0 batch 1: width contract, empty states, collection room, choosers, preview→commit
- Release: Windows 1.0.0 from c2f3ba2 (121.6 MB, sha256 545aaf03…88c3) - web and installer on one commit; W1-W10 green
October 14, 2026
- RELEASE.md: platform status as actually run on 2026-10-14 (Windows installed app PASS incl. upgrade with the library intact; macOS UNKNOWN; stores BLOCKED; downloads HOLD), and the owner's device checks
- RELEASE.md: the Mac build block ends with the smoke, so one paste builds and proves it
- A phone keeps the library: the browser is asked to keep this origin's storage, and the iPhone note says what Safari does without an install
- Desktop smoke: the CDP session comes from the page's own context
- Desktop smoke W8: with the network refused (CDP offline) the installed app reloads and shows the same library
- The installed Windows app can be driven for real: scripts/desktop-smoke-win.mjs (W1-W7: app://, intro, a line, a real PNG, keys, no Node, and all of it after close and reopen)
- A tablet is not a stretched phone: the project uses the width in both orientations, with 44 px touch targets and one breakpoint set
- The suite stays green beside a build: the one-in-eight red run was vitest's five-second budget, not a wrong claim, and the tests that lived near it are now cheap and the budget is honest
- The core workflow runs on the owner's real files end to end, and four things it found are fixed
- The owner can build, open and smoke-test Jefield on the MacBook from one zsh block, and knows exactly what signing and notarization would take
- Jefield can be built as a macOS app on the owner's MacBook: electron-builder makes a .dmg and a .zip for Apple Silicon and for Intel, and the Mac gets its menu so ⌘C/⌘V/⌘Z/⌘A/⌘Q/⌘W/⌘, work
- The install sheet shows Jefield in the approved look (the screenshots were being drawn in the previous design)
October 13, 2026
- Integration: probes that launch their own browser pass the intro like every gate; a phone's empty library promises no drag and no ⌘V
- A person's phone tabs read as words to every reader, and the AI compare slider adds no design token
- A person on a phone has four tabs, works on a project's canvas with a tool pill, and the result line no longer covers the bar
- A person keeping a file an AI gave back never loses a thing already in their library
- A person sees the inverted L: the sidebar sits on the frame and holds the mark, Add, the find line with ⌘K, Home · Field · Library with their counts and the five recent projects; every room is a white page beside it
- A person works on a file in one workspace: back to where they came from, the work large on the ground, one panel that ends in saving
- The next step floats at the selection: a small contextual bar offers 2-4 acts for what is chosen and stands aside while the hand works
- Inside a project there is no global navigation any more: one 44px top bar, Layers | Materials on the left, Design | Info | AI on the right, Export in the signal
- The App Store and Google Play builds are prepared to sign and submit, and the release is written down step by step
- Jefield can be installed on Windows as its own app that opens without a network
- Jefield installs with a full install sheet, opens offline after one visit, and says when a newer version has arrived
- A first visitor to jefield.vercel.app meets a one-screen intro and is let straight into an empty Jefield, or into its sample
October 10, 2026
- Docs: round-2 corrections to the design proposal, and where the product's own way was better than the prototype's
- A person can tell Home what not to bring back: "Not this one", "Less of this reason", and what was shown fades
- A person can save a project as their own template - a copy, never a move - and start new projects from it
- Quiet words are readable everywhere in the default look: ink-4 now keeps the >= 4.5:1 that DESIGN.md promised (looks 6/6)
- The counts beside Everything's chips (Pictures 26, Documents 4, ...) are readable in the default look: 5.4:1 light, 5.5:1 dark, up from 4.4:1
- On a project's board the result line ("✓ Got it. Undo") stands above the floating tool bar instead of on it; everywhere else it stays at the foot
- The first right-click on a thing opens that thing's menu, even right after type (or anything small) was chosen and let go - not the empty board's
- A written thing on the board is set in the product's sans (Jefield Pretendard) - on screen and in its PNG and SVG - instead of a Times-like serif
- Quiet look: text-3 is #63635E, so grey words stay legible on the fills the product puts them on
- The proposed look can be seen in the real product before it is decided: ?look=quiet (or Settings > Design) wears phase 1 of "quiet frame, loud work"; without it nothing moves
- Several artboards become one PDF: choose two or more on the board and export them, a page each in the board's order, kept in the library with where they came from and downloaded
- The board keeps things evenly spaced (Figma's spacing guides): a moved box lands at the gap its row already has, or halfway between two, with pink measures
October 9, 2026
- Docs: the 'quiet frame, loud work' design proposal (awaiting review) and its migration order; _research/ stays out of git
- The board snaps, with smart guides (Figma's): moving and resizing land edges and centres on the siblings and the frame
- The Field is a design workspace again: rail + the board's own panel, tools, layers, artboards, the Figma keys, reopen where left; AI handoff out and in; the official system written down
- Docs: production verification of the 2026-10-09 round, the surfaces table
- Real work, verified: pages out of a PDF, a range out of a recording, pictures kept whole, menus where the hand is, words that say what happens, templates
October 8, 2026
- Finalization follow-up: no editors on a phone (Desktop = Work), and the empty canvas no longer names the frame tool
- P2+P3 Finalization: one product generation, and surfaces that say what they are
October 7, 2026
- P1 Intelligence tells the truth: nearly-the-same needs both instruments, and a shared name needs its companions to agree
- Docs: the S3 pieces of the memory, the version cell and the next-state offer
- S3 Change: the next state is seen at the arrival, a project decides, words are said, and a version answers the five questions
October 5, 2026
- S2 walk fixes: one picture family is offered once, a same-named other file says its day, walks run as a person's browser
- S2: one Thing's memory - its history, what comes back, what looks like it, what it was used with - the same everywhere
- S1 close-out: the foot chooses a picture's parts, a phone's top line fits, the studio is on paper, Ask is gone
October 3, 2026
- The bridge: Moc Mallen OS opens a world by key, reads it, and writes facts under its own origin
- Keep on a project is made from the picture's own bytes, at its own size
- S1: Home / Field / World, a project you enter with its shelf open, one panel, the first tools and More, paper and ink
October 2, 2026
- The magnet gathers for rediscovery: a reason under each picture instead of a percentage over it, the forgotten first, and a door from a thing's viewer
- The frontend loop as a thing Claude Code can run: playwright-cli (bundled, no install), a vendored review checklist, the visual system written down
September 30, 2026
- Lifecycle gate: JEFIELD_ORIGIN runs the same spine against the deployed site (34/34 on jefield.vercel.app, 2026-10-01)
- Docs/MODEL_2026-09-30.md: what the first version is, decided along the way, what is not in it
- The gates follow the model: collections back in the sidebar under the fields, Everything a stop, the palette and the words
- The lifecycle on real files: a script for a folder of the owner's own work (JEFIELD_REAL), BLOCKED when there is none
- Home answers "where do I continue?": the work, what came, what changed
- The field's system: tokens the field proposes and the person accepts, read by the editors
- Collection is classification, Field is work: the model's spine, end to end
- The PDF editor's shape tools drop the key from their names; the key shows on the tool, as every other tool's does
- With no field yet, the way to what is loose sits under the one door
September 29, 2026
- A room fades in when the room changes (opacity, the system's mid length), not under reduced motion
- Home no longer reads the hidden grid's place every frame (boot frame 136 ms -> 35 ms, profiled)
- The board's photo section is four tabs - Adjust, Retouch, Crop, Keep - not a wall
- The board's selection wears the one accent; the properties panel's buttons are quiet fills
- The video timeline's controls are marks; the sentence ratchet names what rose when it fails
- Home and Everything are one room: Home carries the kinds, counted, each opening Everything with it pressed
- The sentence ratchet walks the archive and a thing's view; the install line is a noun; a row's kind word at the floor size
- Edit wears a pen, not the Open mark; the Add menu's new things wear their own marks
- The boot weight, measured honestly: 491 KB gz across app.js and its shared chunks, not the 319 of app.js alone
- One archive with tabs, marks for the viewer's and every editor's top, and the editors fetched when first opened
- The one field shows its focus on its whole shape, not as a second box inside it
- Redesign: Korean in nouns, fewer acts in the drawer, one focus ring
September 28, 2026
- Docs: the PSD layers path observed on the owner's two real files
- A Photoshop file's layers on the field: pictures and type in a frame beside it
- Perspective on the field: four corners made an upright rectangle, as a look
- Keep as: PNG, JPEG or WebP, a quality, a long side and a DPI
- Retouch brushes on the field: Soften, Sharpen, Dodge, Burn, Red eye, Brush
- Editing a vector's points (Figma's vector edit mode): drag, add, remove
- A path's outline fills its box whatever fractions it was written in
- Booleans on the field: Union, Subtract, Intersect, Exclude (Ctrl+Alt+U/S/I/X)
- Component overrides: an instance's own words and colours for what its main holds
- The pen on the field (P): vector paths kept as fractions of their own box
- Effects and fill types on the field: linear gradient, drop shadow, layer blur
- Components on the field: a frame made a main component, its instances live, detach back to a frame
September 27, 2026
- The release document: what is live, what proves it, what is PARTIAL, NOT BUILT and UNKNOWN
- The page names this build's bundle, so the first visit after a release never runs new page with old code
- A collection as a canvas: a field made of it, members placed by reference; things put on a field stand side by side
- A collection's context stays in its collection; Put on a field… in every act list; view buttons a thumb wide
- Every editor in the same workspace: the PDF page too (tools left, page centre, properties right); the top line says Jefield / file
- Workspace gate: fullscreen, keyboard and clipboard scope, Ctrl+wheel, route guard, Cmd+S for a photo, a PSD and a PDF page
- Collections gate knows the Fields room
- Marching ants run on the motion tokens
- Collections as units of work, a thing's trail, the deleted with their context, and the sidebar in sections
- Fields: boards a person makes and arranges their things on; the arrival room is Home
- Register the office, vector and psd5 gates; keep agents' worktrees out of the unit suite
- PDF/AI editor: the page's own shapes edited in its content stream; notes, highlights, true redaction, forms, picture replace, fit width
September 25, 2026
- STATE: the EDIT foundation - shipped and verified on production
- Gates: the tokens snapshot carries the text layer's own variables; paper 8 waits for the ink
- EDIT_FOUNDATION: the form path is verified; the last fallback named for what it is
- Text drawn from a form is known, not guessed: the operator list tells which runs the page's own stream holds
- Docs/EDIT_FOUNDATION.md: the model, what is measured to hold, where each capability ends; the AI gate waits for the preview
- A hand on the words: scripts/hand-test.mjs
- A run set at an angle keeps it: into the run its matrix stays; set in another font the words take the angle
- A text object's own tools: colour (named swatches), a line break, Duplicate
- EDIT foundation 3: replaced words go into the run's own text object, in its own font
- EDIT foundation 2: Select → Inspect → Edit on the page's own words
- EDIT foundation 1: the reader's words are pdf.js's own text layer, measured on the ink
September 24, 2026
- STATE: the Mini Creative Workspace, second pass - the writing workspace, the drag re-test, PDF L2 merge/box/remove - shipped and verified on production
- A standing ring is honoured on release: what the ring says is what letting go does
- PDF Level 2: a run of the page's own text removed, and a replaced run's old words taken out of the file
- PDF Level 2: a box round something - an outline in the product's amber, nothing under it touched
- PDF Level 2: pages from another document, brought into this one's pages
- The drag re-tested as the owner listed it: source clear, target clear, preview, drop = connect, Escape = cancel, wrong target = nothing
- The writing workspace on the common grammar: name · version over the words, five shaping tools, Output…
- STATE: the Mini Creative Workspace - PSD stage 2, AI stage 1, PDF L2 first step - shipped and verified on production
- The open view follows a kept version at once; an Illustrator file offers Edit until it is known to hold no PDF
- The page in view whole while working; Save says what it makes; a CMYK file's own preview said to stay
- Illustrator, stage 1: worked on as the PDF inside it, kept beside it - never over it
- Photoshop editor, stage 2: the layers written back as a real .psd
September 23, 2026
- STATE: the Mini Editors shipped and verified on production
- The page editor's hands answer before the page has drawn
- The picture's pill: three marks and More, placed where it covers the fewest dots
- A cover takes the page's own colour; text sized for the page; one repaint after a save
- Gates that press or read inside a fold open it first
- The drag that relates two things says what letting go does, and Escape lets go
- Folds remembered on the device; the next thing opens from its top; gates open the folds they read
- Context panel: the first screen is the thing; Details, Related, History, note behind folds
- Mini Editors on one shell: a document's marks and pages, a picture's pixels
- Gates forget by note; STATE: the second pass verified on production
- A PDF is read first: the double press opens the reader, Edit is its pages; Full screen 44px on a phone
- Using the file: a double press is the work, a document's pages are edited here, Full screen by name
September 22, 2026
- Inspect 15 walks out and back before 16; STATE: the suite on 7ff271a
- STATE: the cleanup shipped and verified on production
- Inspect 13 presses Export as JPEG where it is
- Cleanup 4: the pill in the picture of the world; Cannot edit on the Inspector's line
- Cleanup 3d: the pill is the pointer's; the gates read the chooser
- Cleanup 3c: the pill after the pointer rests; intake and hold read the row as it is
- Cleanup 3b: the pill in the card's bottom corner, and the gates that press through More
- Cleanup 3: the editor as a work surface, the facts last, Edit on the card
- Cleanup 2: the primary acts everywhere, under the pointer, and a panel that stays down
- Cleanup 1: the PDF page at its width, keys to their fields, a press on nothing, honest design files
- And Copy picture from a past state copies that state's picture (version 8h): measured off the pixels rather than argued from the code - version 2 of the gate's poster is the rotated one, 120 x 300 where the newest is 300 x 120, so which state reached the clipboard can be read back. It is the second of the two acts that hand a thing OUT of Jefield, and together they are how a past state reaches an app Jefield cannot be
September 21, 2026
- STATE: relation search shipped and checked on production - the served build carries it and the owner's one live derivation produces `from` on the export and `into` on the source through the real search path; what could not be checked there is named, not glossed (no derivation in his world has a name differing from its source, so the card's reason line is correctly suppressed there, and the Field never painted because the browser pane was hidden)
- The Field brings back what a thing was made from: "Connected to what you just left" read the connections a person made, the documents that mention a thing and the places they put two things in, and did not read provenance at all - so the passage somebody kept out of a document on Tuesday never came back beside that document, which is the loop's own RECONNECT step failing on the one pair this product's acts create most of
- A person's own relations are no longer dropped because a list is five: measured on a thing with five connections and four things made out of it, the Related block drew five rows and said nothing at all about the other four - no count, no door, and the only way to them was the picture of the world, which is a different room and a different question; nine facts the person put there themselves and four of them invisible with no way to know they existed
- The same orphan a second time, in a hand nothing reached: DetailHands.thisFrame kept a paused frame through the drop door and set the recording's picture to it - the act Use this frame already does, correctly since this morning - and no surface has ever called it; removed rather than fixed twice, with the one sentence only it could say, because an implemented hand with no caller reads to the next person as a capability this product has
- Typing [[ offers the things (2026-09-21, PDF → Work → Reuse → Create): a reference typed by hand was offered nothing since the writing round - the brackets meant knowing an id, which nobody does; now the keystroke that completes [[ (or ![[ for a picture shown) takes the two brackets back and opens the chooser Cmd+L opens, and what is chosen lands where the brackets were as the reference every renderer draws as a chip; only a typed key does it - a paste or a script that brings [[ opens nothing (write 9-9d; the gate waits for the arrival on the document, since arriving puts focus on the capture line on purpose)
- STATE: the clipboard verified by the owner and closed; PDF → Work → Reuse → Create
- The words on a PDF page are words (2026-09-21, PDF → Work → Reuse): the reader drew the page as a picture, so nothing on it could be selected - a clause could not be copied, and the one act the large view offers on a passage (highlight it, it becomes the reason for a connection) was closed to every PDF; now each run of text pdf.js knows is laid over the sheet where the page prints it, transparent, stretched to its printed width, lines ending where the page says (detail.ts layWords) - a selection drawn with the mouse follows the printed lines, Ctrl+C copies the words, the door under "what it sits with" offers to connect the passage (paper 0b2b-0b2d); a scan with no text layer has no words here, honestly
- STATE: Document World → Work shipped (0e0c25e)
- STATE: Document World → Work
- STATE: the clipboard shipped (9122825) and what production could and could not show
- A dot steps aside by its press patch, not its centre: a patch reaching into the entered box from just outside it took a press at the box's corner (image 4a, once in four); pull 5c3 pans a place that came to rest under the floating controls into the middle before dragging it
- STATE: the clipboard keeps meaning - the four boundaries, what is kept, what is not, what is verified and what is not
September 20, 2026
- STATE: the fourth command shipped (15720b0) and what the production check could see
- Joined 12-13 read a line's words from the writing surface (.wread), where a line opens now that it can be edited
- STATE: the fourth command - the tie's share was inverted, and the queue to its end
- A line typed in can be edited, and its first save makes it a document (the fourth command 2026-09-20 §11, decision (a)): its Inspector offers Edit, Edit opens it in the writing surface with its own words, nothing saves on a timer before it is a document, Done saves it once as `note.wrote` - the same event a document takes, no kind of its own - and the reducer folds a save into a thing not born as a document: the line stays its title, the words are its body, one version, held bytes it can read back (core/note.ts; paper.test; edit 6-6e)
- A place is let go like anything else, and link force is 0.6 (the fourth command 2026-09-20 §1-§5): the tie's share was inverted - each end took its OWN degree's share, so a place with ten members took ten elevenths of every one of its ten links, its members barely followed it, and letting go pulled it back at 86.6 units in the first frame against 2.3 for a thing (pull 5c2); now the lighter end takes the larger share (by the square root of degree - d3's law by degree left places too heavy to part: field 14c), a held end's share goes whole to the free end so what is joined follows the hand and little stretch is left to answer, a place's ties want the room a ring of its members takes (world 2b), and a place pushes harder (heft 2.5) so two places sharing a thing stand apart with it between them; measured: place 2.5-4.5 units/frame still-handed, at hand's pace 13-15 vs 18-19 for a thing (pull 5c2/5c3, parity), thing 3.0 still-handed - the release physics untouched; link 0.6 is the baseline (RESTED; a view saved before v3 takes it); world 6c reads the enter hand among the last two and picks a thing the Inspector will not cover, world 13f asserts what physics guarantees under reduced motion, field 14h names the worst disagreement and allows 8px on the glass
- STATE: the full suite on the shipped third-command tree (68/68) and what the production check could and could not see
- STATE: the third command - a release is not a return, the thing gone into owns the glass, and the worlds of collection, document, link, video, audio and versions
- Alive 5b reads a member's colour off its ring as well as its centre: a member with a face shows its picture, and the claim was red or green by which faces had arrived (measured 3 to 5 of 10)
- A sound is listened to where it stands (the third command 2026-09-20 §14, Phase B 12): gone into, a recording is its own picture - the waveform this device drew - or its own words (title, artist, album from its tags, how long), its row offers Play, a press plays it here without leaving, the row turns to Pause and a line at the foot of the box says where in it the person is, and leaving stops it (image 16/16b/16c)
- A recording plays where it stands (the third command 2026-09-20 §13, Phase B 11): gone into, a video's own bytes play in the box - muted, looping, the real frames drawn onto the glass each frame - the row says how long it runs, and under reduced motion it stands on its first frame (image 15/15b)
- A release is not a return, and the thing gone into owns the glass (the third command 2026-09-20, Phase A 1-7): letting go carries the hand's last motion into the simulation (force.ts release, capped) and the heat is put to RELEASED 0.45 and left to cool - no pull home, no seat, no coordinate kept (SUPERSEDED: the drag-origin pull; pull 2a measures 2.7 units/frame at frame 2, still by the end); a chosen dot is a one-pixel line in the ink at every distance, not the five-unit ring in the person's colour (image 0d); every dot and line under the entered box steps aside - no patch, no ring, no focus - so the picture takes the press (image 4a); the box fits the glass the Inspector leaves it and slides there at the settle pace, the row with it; and from press to release the picture owns the gesture - no selection, no native drag may start, said on the document only while a hand is down (pull 1z/2z), ending cleanly on pointerup, pointercancel and lostpointercapture; world 8d/13b/13f follow the new contract
- STATE: the reload gap and the production numbers
September 19, 2026
- The version strip sits under the acts, not between the thing and them: an empty middle track in a grid spanned by the side column took 238px of its spare height and pushed the acts off a 940px glass (legible 2); STATE: the second half of 2026-09-20 - the owner's files, one thing's time, a seat, a link - and two superseded decisions
- Every version travels: the shelf carries each version's bytes and is asked about them, a world in one file packs them, erasing a thing drops them all, the About count counts them; comments brought to the version contract
- A thing let go in the picture keeps the place the hand chose (the owner's order 2026-09-20): a seat held for this session, written nowhere and never drawn as a pin - Let it move frees it, Hold it here makes it a pin; the picture arranges its neighbours around it; a pinned thing played with still goes back to its pin. SUPERSEDED: decision 5's return of everything the hand stirred
- The large view follows what is understood about the open thing (a brought Photoshop version's composite arrives late), keyed on seenVersion so words read off a picture repaint nothing, and never while a crop frame is in hand
- One thing, its time inside it: versions (the owner's order 2026-09-20). note.kept folds a held thing to its newest version like a document's newest save; Rotate and Crop make a picture's next version, a file brought from Photoshop is the next version (Save as a new version…, or let go on the strip), an earlier version is seen as a picture under the open thing, shown as itself, worked from, or made current again as a new version - nothing removed; a copy in another format leaves the work as a new thing whose log names the version; Made-from lines in the picture of the world; the Connect picker shows a thing by its face with its versions under its name; npm run version. SUPERSEDED: a rotated or cropped picture as a new thing beside the original
- Photoshop and Illustrator files opened as they are: layers by name from the file's own table (Lr16 too), the flattened composite at the file's size with CMYK said to be approximate, the artboard in inches and the program that wrote it; Keep as PNG/JPEG/WebP/PDF from any picture, one PDF of several pictures, an Illustrator file's own bytes kept as PDF; a 109MB file kept (limit 250MB) and an honest sentence when one is not; npm run design over the owner's real files
- STATE: the sitting as a room, the picture's menu
- The picture's menu is the same declaration as everywhere else: Open, Add to…, Connect to…, Pin, Delete by their own names and marks, then the picture's own rows; holding a place in the picture is Hold it here / Let it move, so two Pins never share a menu
- The sitting is a room, one press away: See them together in the Inspector narrows Everything to what was left with a thing, under one chip that lets go - the query form of 'left with X', from the log's ids, not a word search
- STATE: the sitting piece, taken back and why
- Taken back: the sitting as a search piece. Measured by the suite: a word in exactly one thing's name found the sixty things left in the same sitting (sizes 60c/400c/1200c, intake 12, words 5) - co-presence is a fact about the thing's evening, not a name for the thing. The Inspector still says it.
- STATE: the order of 2026-09-20, executed
September 18, 2026
- Npm run crop
- Crop: a piece of a picture kept as a picture of its own; a press while the large view is still closing is the room's
- Inspector: a More menu survives a redraw that lands under it; archive sentence on its own key
- STATE: the derived-object rail has three acts; a PSD says its facts
- One thing inside a zip, taken out as a thing of its own
- A PSD says its own facts: layers, colour mode, depth - from its header and layer table, or UNKNOWN
- One page of a document, kept as a picture of its own
- STATE: the shelf contract, honest sync words, the derived object
- The first small piece of work done here: Rotate makes a new picture whose log says what it was made from
- A shelf that fails is said as it is, and proven against a shelf that is not Vercel Blob
- The shelf is behind a contract: Vercel Blob is one store, any S3-compatible store is another
- STATE: the Blob store is suspended, the suite is 58/58
September 17, 2026
- Bigger and Smaller are no longer offered: since the frame became the product's they wrote a mark and changed nothing on the glass
- The Inspector's column is no longer held empty: the room has the whole window at rest and contracts as one while something is inspected
- Carry learned the reset last: a click inspects, and the name and the why are in the Inspector
- A worktree's symlink to the dummy files was committed through a gap in the ignore; removed, and the gap closed
- The handoff records the final wave-1 run: 56/58, the two reds real and fixed
- What came back ran 32px past its plate on a phone, and a thing dropped before the first unpinned card tied the last one put there
- The order for wave 2, from what wave 1 proved and what nobody has used
- STATE says what is true after wave 1 of the reset
- A picked card changed one pixel of its own picture, and the cause was the column it stood in
- Letting go over the settings drawer joined a dot nobody could see
- The kinds stopped running under the order they were set in
- The return test pressed Forget in a bar that no longer rises for one thing
September 16, 2026
- The handoff says what production and the return test proved, and the search that did nothing
- A word typed in the room the product opens on changed nothing on screen
- The return test read a grid in a room nobody was standing in, and died pressing it
- Carry pressed the Everything grid from a door that opens on the Field
- The next round's order, starting from what is proven and what nobody has used
- The tokens gate saw five new names, and STATE says what this round made true
- Everything wore the last place's face, and a card's acts stood on its stack's count
- One physics, a way up out of a place inside a place, and one undo for an act on five things
- The bar takes the toolbar row, not the room's name, and nothing measures it while it sits there
- A place's face stays when something in it is selected, and the bar is drawn only as tall as what it holds
- Twenty-six failures about tags and stills were one press looking in the wrong place
- The bar took the room's header by pushing the room down, and the capture line paid for two words
September 15, 2026
- The picture was measured by the wrong question, and now it is alive
