Questions, answered

Where are my files?

On your device, in your browser's own storage. Sign in with Google and a copy sealed with your library's key is kept in the cloud, so your other devices open the same library. Read the privacy page for every detail.

Does it work offline?

Yes, once you've opened it. Jefield and its editors open without a network, and your files are already on your device.

What happens when I save?

You get the next version. The one before stays exactly as it was, and every file's Versions list lets you download any of them or go back to one, which makes a new version too.

My phone doesn't show what my laptop has.

Sign in with Google on both, in Settings. Each browser keeps its own library until it's signed in.

The page looks old after an update.

Jefield says when a newer version is ready; press Reload. Or close every Jefield tab and open it again.

Can I work with other people?

Yes. Share a project and send the link: whoever opens an edit link works on it with you, live, with their cursor and name on your screen; a view link lets them follow along without changing anything. Your library stays yours: only that project is shared.
