Eight editors, one app, and room for others

Design, photo, video, sound, documents, PDF, code and motion, rebuilt from the ground up in the Jefield design system. And any project, shared live.

A designer's week isn't one tool. It's a poster, then the photo for the poster, then the teaser for the poster, then the voice note about the teaser, then the brief that started all of it. Every one of those used to be a different app, a different file format and a different place things got lost.

So the new Jefield has eight editors, and they all save to one library.

What's in it

  • Design: a canvas with frames, type, shapes and pictures, every common size, the fonts installed on your computer, Illustrator, PDF and SVG drawings brought in as vectors, and export to PNG, SVG and PDF, or a print PDF with 3 mm bleed and crop marks.
  • Photo: light and colour with a live histogram, twelve looks, crop and straighten, remove anything, cut out or blur a background with models that run on your device, and PSDs with their layers.
  • Video: frame-accurate cuts, reordering, speed and sound per clip, words and captions over the picture, designs laid on it and kept linked, any shape from 16:9 to 9:16, and the cuts out as EDL, FCPXML or OTIO.
  • Sound: a waveform you can trim, fade, level and normalize, a voice you can record straight in, and a clean-up for it you can hear before you apply it.
  • Documents: Markdown on a real page, and Word files edited as themselves, with their styles kept to the byte.
  • PDF: pages, the file's own words and shapes, forms and signatures; Illustrator files too.
  • Code: a real code editor with highlighting for over a hundred languages and a live preview.
  • Motion: any design animated, a layer at a time, with built-in Glow, Shine, Sparkle and Flare, exported as video or as a Lottie file for apps and the web.

Together

Share any project and send the link. Whoever opens it is in the project with you, live: cursors and names on every screen, changes sent straight between your screens, and the record kept so nothing is lost if a connection drops. Only that project is shared, sealed with a key of its own; your library stays yours.

The rule they share

Save never overwrites. It makes the next version, and every file shows its versions and the way back. Going back is a new version too.

How we checked

Every editor has a test that opens a real file in a real browser, makes the change, saves, and reads the saved file back to prove the change is in it: the deleted second is gone from the sound, the crop is square, the caption is in the pixels. If a test can't prove it, this site doesn't say it.

What isn't here yet

Coming next: AI you can talk to, roles per person in shared projects, and opening files from your other storage. Each says "planned" or "coming" on this site until it ships.
